HDThe VSX 7000e and VSX 8000 products are equipped with a standard 10/100 Ethernet connection to support IP calls up to 2 Mbps.  These optional network cards are inserted into the empty bay on the back of the VSX 7000e or the VSX 8000 and add flexibility in network connectivity.  This integrated solution eliminates the need for external hardware bricks and maintains the thin, clean profile of the 1U rack-mount form factor.  To install, remove the blank faceplate from the back of the codec (remove two screws), then insert the network card and tighten the two attached screws.
